The Dietetic Services

Nutrition and Dietetic Service supports people with a wide range of nutrition and health problems including;

  • Chronic diseases
  • Weight management
  • Malnutrition
  • In-born metabolic errors
  • Eating problems, e.g., swallowing difficulties
  • Specialist enteral feeding (tube feeding directly into the stomach)

On referral, the service will offer a consultation at hospital wards for admitted patients /out-patients clinic.

The dietitian works with the individual to identify the nutritional changes that are needed and support the person by providing practical and accurate information.

Dietitians also involved in:

  • Awareness
  • Special training for allied people
  • Teaching sessions for medical students

Nutrition and Dietetic Service will provided by sending a completed patient referral request.
